About Bonxie
Bonxie is a home for the plays you are proud of: the long words and bingos you laid down in real games, kept on a public profile you can share with a link.
Why it exists
Great plays disappear. They live in a photo on your phone, a scoresheet in a drawer, a story you tell after the round. Bonxie gives them a proper place, so you can look back on them and show them to friends and fellow players.
How it works
- Search for the word in the word list and pick it. Words come only from the list, never typed freely.
- Say what kind of play it was, and add the tournament, date, opponent and a note if you like.
- Add a photo of the board, and the scoresheet on top of it, if you have them.
- Your play appears on your shelf. Anyone can view it, with no account needed.
Honest by design
Every play carries a plain label: No proof, Board photo, or Board and scoresheet. The label only says what was attached. Bonxie does not verify results, rank players or run leaderboards. This is a place to keep and share your words, not to compete.
Your plays, your control
Photos have their location and camera details removed. Opponents are plain names with no profile. You can hide or delete any play, or delete your account with all your data, at any time.
The name
In Shetland, "bonxie" is the local name for the great skua, a bold seabird that takes what it wants and defends it fiercely. We liked the idea of a player holding on to their best plays just as fiercely.
